What's Fixed in Build 66
Check In / Check Out Tab
- Multiple shape features that are checked in to the national database now
can be checked out to the personal geodatabase. ESRI has provided a hot fix
to the ArcObjects software to resolve this problem. This hot fix was
incorporated into the ArcGIS patch that is applied to ArcGIS SP3 during the
Build 66 installation.
Toolkit Menu Bar
- Customer Folders Report - Toolkit Reports no longer display
deleted plans.
Folders Tab
- Deleting a Customer Folder and/or a conservation plan within a Customer
Folder now works correctly.
- Create new customer - The tax identification code is no longer
displayed in the SCIMS web page.
- Create new customer - New Customer folder name now generated with
single underscore instead of multiple underscores.
General Tab
- Business name now displays correctly when participant is not the
decision maker.
Practice Scheduler
- Contract Wizard - A cost list is no longer required for the
CTA-GENRL program.
- Contract Wizard - Can now select the ProTracts rounding method as
an alternate rounding method.
- When saving a plan, the user must confirm that CTA-GENRL will be
assigned by default to unassigned program fields.
- The date/time setting now correctly allows for time zone.
- The modified narrative will now copy to other land units using the Copy
to Cell Below function.
Toolkit Preferences
- Can now add local land uses.
- Preferences no longer changes the NRCS land use name to a land use code.
The land use name remains displayed.
Custom ArcGIS Tools
- Can now delete a practice.
Attribute Tool
- Practices can now be attributed with the units that the state has
selected.
- National practice names are now used in the Attribute Tool.
- Practice names are displayed in the Attribute Tool.
Import Tool
- The import legacy shape file tool will set the lat/lon and CRA for
land units if the user's workstation has an authenticated connection to
the national server.
- NRCS land uses are now used in the Attribute Tool.
Digitizer Tools
- The Copy/Paste functionality has been enabled in the Land Unit
Editor toolbar.
- Splitting a polygon adjacent to a neighboring polygon will no longer
result in a gap when the split intersects the side of the neighboring
polygon.
- When two land units are merged, one land unit is selected to keep
its tabular information for the resulting merged land unit. The other
land unit's tabular information is discarded.
- When land units are deleted, the attribute record is marked for
deletion and will disappear after a check in/out.
- Append is now functional in the Shape file editor tool.
- Cluster tolerance default setting was reduced to 1m from previous 5m
setting.
See also the
Release Notes.
Reporting Tab
- The new Reporting Tab helps you report on conservation plans and
practices. Use the Reporting Tab to:
- View conservation guide and conservation management system
information for a plan
- Select the organizations that performed the conservation work
- View reportable practices
Buffer Tools
- The Buffer Tool does not allow for buffering on one
side of a line; however, this functionality will be available in a future
version of Toolkit 2004.
Practice Layers
- The ability to create Practice Layers in Toolkit 2004
is very limited. New practice layers may be created for practices that do
not exist in the practice schedule. At the time they are attributed, the
new practices will automatically be added to the practice schedule.
However, if the user creates a practice feature in ArcGIS for a practice
that already exists in the practice schedule, a duplicate record will be
created in the schedule after the practice feature has been attributed.
Manually edit the practice schedule to remove duplicates.
- There is no ability to link new practice features to
existing records in the practice schedule. This enhancement will be
available in a future version of Toolkit 2004.
- There is no ability to import into the National
Conservation Planning Database practice shapefiles that were created in
earlier version of Toolkit. This functionality will be added in a future
version of Toolkit. Toolkit 2004 does allow existing practice
shapefiles to be added as layers in ArcGIS projects, which can be edited
using the Toolkit digitizing tools.
New Theme Tool
- Creating a Planning Land Unit layer with the New Theme
Tool using a Common Land Unit shapefile as the data source will not work if
the shapefile is in a read-only folder and does not have a projection file.
Toolkit fails when attempting to write a projection file. In this
situation, either create a projection file for the CLU shapefile or set the
folder permissions to allow write access.
- Cluster tolerance default setting was reduced to 1.5m
from previous 5m setting.
