NFC
Applications
As
reported on our CCE Conference Calls on October 14, 2004, we have posted several
new versions of client software related to NFC
access.
All
Software is located on the Team Services website under the Supplemental
Applications and Instructions library.
Secure
Remote
The new
version of Secure Remote (V5.5) for XP has been posted and is named SecuRemote5.5_PKG.zip. The
installation guide, named SecuRemote55
Install Guide.pdf is also available on the Team Services
website.
The
installation guide includes instructions for the removal of Entrust and the
installation for NFC Direct Access
and NFC FFIS Access
applications.
The NFC
Direct Access (NFCDirectAccess.zip) is a new
application that will allow direct access to NFC without the need for Secure
Remote. This would only be used when NFC-FFIS and/or NITC-FDW access is
not needed.
NFC-FFIS
and NITC-FDW both still require Secure Remote for access. The Secure
Remote Install guide includes instructions for configuring the firewalls for
NFC-FFIS and NITC-FDW.
Other
NFC Applications
NFC
applications that have been available through the download center at NFC’s
website are now available through the Team Services website. These are
packaged, tested and certified for installation on our CCE computers.
Installation instructions are included on how to stage these applications on the
server for quick and easy server based installs. Applications
include:
·
NFC
Logon V 1.04 - NFCLogon1.04.zip
·
EPIC
V2.06, - EPIC2.06.zip
·
EARN
V1.03 -EARN1.03.zip
·
WTWO
2002, including Reports - WTWO2002.zip
·
WTWO
2003, including Reports -WTWO2003.zip
Remember, even after
the application is installed, you must still request access from NFC security
for your user to have access to any of these applications (Except for NFC Logon,
which is the front-end for logging into all the other NFC
applications).
ArcEditor8.3
The
ArcEditor8.3 server based installation CD’s were shipped out last week and
should have started arriving this week. One (1) CD was sent to each office
that has a server. Instructions (ArcEditor 8.3.pdf) for installing
ArcEditor are located on Team Services website. - The instructions include
information for registering the software.
The
application should be staged on either a Server or workstation for
installation. You cannot install this application from
the CD.
The
ArcEditor Software will be used in conjunction with the Toolkit 2004
deployment. I will be providing another NewsFlash on revising the Toolkit
2004 Deployment Plans.
As the
first step in the Toolkit 2004 Deployment, the ArcEditor8.3 Software can
now be staged on all the
servers, even though you should not install the software on any workstations
yet.
